Sorry! I wrote a long post about Haggis and for some reason WordPress didn’t upload it with the rest of my post yesterday! Truth: writing a blog with your iPhone is easy but also very frustrating. It fails, a lot.

I had vegetarian haggis at the 1780 pub & restaurant on Rose Street. It was savory and sweet all at once. Seriously, you need to try it! Neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes) mashed, topped with vegetarian haggis (I’m assuming nuts, mushrooms and spices) and then they pour on a whiskey-cream sauce that tastes sweet and then for presentation a pile of caramelized onions. It was a very fancy version of Shephard’s Pie.
You can get the original meat version, but why would you when the veg one is delicious, is better for you, and you may spare a sheep or two 😉
